Cylinder Blocks
Specialists at Hartmann Bros., Inc. do precision remanufacturing work on all sizes of Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, Navistar, Waukesha, Mack, gas and air compressors; including repair of counterbores, lowerbores, align boring, sleeving the cylinders, sleeving main and cam bores, repairing of head bolt holes and resurfacing the deck. Hartmann Bros., Inc has the capacities to resurface a block up to 106" in length. Precision workmanship by skilled craftsmen is standard at Hartmann Bros., Inc.
Crankshafts
Hartmann Bros., Inc. does precision remanufacturing work on all types of
crankshafts for Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, John Deere, Case,
Navistar, Waukesha, Mack, gas and air compressors. This may consist of
grinding for undersize
bearings, rebuilding the crankshaft to standard with either stainless
steel,
submerged arc welding or chrome plating, nitriding, rebuilding the tapers
or gear fit areas. Hartmann Bros., Inc. crankshaft capacities is up to
a 16 inch stroke stroke and 12 feet in length.

Cylinder Heads
Cylinder head remanufacturing work may include a valve job, resurfacing
the head, installing guides and seats, pressuring testing, injector tube
replacement on Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, John Deere, Case,
Navistar, Waukesha, Mack, gas and air compressors.
Lathes and Mills
Hartmann Bros., Inc. has lathes with capacities up to 32" swing and
160" centers and our equipment also includes universal milling
machines and radial arm drills.
Connecting Rods
Before connecting rods are remanufactured, Hartmann Bros., Inc. inspects
each rod carefully
for minute cracks or defects through magnatic magnaflux. Following this
process, the rods are checked for size and resized as needed and the pins
are fitted for proper center to center length on Cummins, Detroit Diesel,
Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, Navistar, Waukesha, Mack, gas and air
compressors.
